How is meaning created through the use of prodution techniques in a media produt which you have studied.

LO:1 ethical issues
Ethics:
An ethical issue is a problem that while is not against the law could cause offence or be misleading to viewers.
some ethical issues (for a young audience) include.
SexViolence
Drag and alcohol use
Programmes that feature these would usually air after watershed.
This means doing the right/ moral thing.
For people producing media products this creates many controversies.
(I.e, Trolling, incitement, defamation)
2. the use of disturbing imagery (explicit sex/ violence).
3. Use of offencive material (Racism, sexism, homophobia, swearing)
4. privacy rights of people involved in the creation of the product.
consequences.
being unethical in a media product could result in:
1. having people report negatively on the product as that it is inappropriate.
2. Having regulatory bodies force you to change the product or refuse to put it on where/ when you want it
3. There could be a fine.
4. Lawsuits/ court proceedings.
5. A negative impact on the creators of the product.

LO1: Regulatory bodies.
What is a regulatory body?
a regulatory body is an authority with control over what peices of media are availabe to the public. This is done to protect the public from extremly disturbing or inappropreate content. When regulation occors the creators of a media product will be contacted and told to take the offending peice of content out of cirrculation.
