Evaluation: visualisation diagram question.

Visualisation diagram...

It was important in this task to ensure that you are talking about the right thing. not reading this question properly could lead to describing a visualisation diagram for the website itself when the question clearly asked for an explanation describing a poster for the advertising material. to this end you must write:

   1. An introduction
  • state why a visualisation diagram is useful in the pre production stages of product development.
  • Say how it would be the most efficient method of pre production planning for this particular document.
   2. Explain how a visualisation diagram lends itself to this document.
  • support this with examples from the brief.
  3. Talk about how it is ineffective.
  • support this with examples from the brief.
 4.  A conclusion
  • give your final thaughts in a sentence (overall I feel...)

Story boards...

  • Always ensure that you include arrows to show the camera movements
  • Make sure to include the location where you have stated that the shot is outside.
  • If you are making a promotonal video always include:
  1. the company logo (Title graphic) and include a slogan.
  2. A voice over.
  3. A close up of the product.
  4. Every single shot should contain non- digetic music.

LO4- Storyboards.

What is the purpose of a storyboard?

a story board is used as a pre- production document which portrays the events taking place within a video form of media. They consist of a photo displaying what the shot is supposed to look like as well as a caption which displays dialogue as well as the type of sot and any transitions being used for the scene. story boards are essential for camera people who need to know what shots to use as that they are highly unlikely to be filming in order.

Why do the team prepare the script before the storyboard?

The storyboard would be prepared after the script as that the storyboard is meant to show the scenes as they are filmed including dialogue.

What do storyboards display?

  1. Shot types
  2. camera angles
  3. description of shots / action.
  4. "Key dialouge"
  5. Location (INT/ EXT)
  6. Scene numbers
  7. camera movement arrows
  8. reprisentation of the scene.
  9. Transitions/ Editing
  10. timings per shot (always in seconds
  11. basic mise-en-scene
  12. use of sounds (Non- Digeic Music/ SSF)
  13. caracters.
  14. lighting.
  15. type of camera (DSLR/ Sony prosumer)
